Metered
parking is available in the Pacific Cove parking lot behind city
hall, approximately one quarter mile (4 blocks) from downtown
and the beach. There are 250 spaces in the parking lot. Police constantly monitor parking. For information on meter costs call City of Capitola at 475-7300.
Directions
From San Jose Airport
Take
Highway 880 (also called Highway 17) going south for approximately
30 miles toward Santa Cruz.
Turnoff on Highway 1 South for approximately 5 miles.
Take the Capitola/Soquel exit.
Turn right onto Bay Avenue.
At the second stop sign, turn right on Capitola Avenue.
Continue for 2 blocks, the City Parking lot is behind city hall
on the left hand side

Directions
From the Monterey Area
Take
Highway 1 North toward Santa Cruz for approximately 40 miles
Take the Capitola/Soquel exit.
Turn left under the freeway bridge onto Bay Avenue.
At the second stop sign, turn right on Capitola Avenue.
Continue
for 2 blocks, the City Parking lot is behind city hall on the left
hand side
Follow the signs
Traffic
Be sure to save plenty of time for the trip over the hill and back. Beach traffic
can be very slow.
