Manufacturing only 300-800 loaves daily, Gayle's Bakery, under the watchful eye of Joe Ortiz, is a critical success. Known for their Jewish-style rye bread, their francese (an Italian style French bread) and their sourdough, Gayle's has developed quite a following. In addition to their own retail operation, their breads can be found at the Deluxe Market in Aptos and served at the Ostrich Grill, Capitola.
