Camping New Brighton State Beach 1500 Park Ave. Capitola Camping Reservations 1-800-444-7275 New Brighton tends to be fully reserved well in advance. Call early to be assured of your reservation. Reservations are needed April 1 through October 31. This just in: California: Park fees are tumbling at the 109 state parks and historic sites in California. Price decreases began July 1 and will be phased in through the end of the year. Sample reductions: Annual parking stickers will be $35 instead of $75; motorcycle pass fees will be dropped; day parking fees are being halved (to $2 or $3); and entry fees will drop to $2 or $3 from $5.
